Basketball Game Preview: Columbus Christian Crusaders vs. Horizon Christian

Columbus Christian and Horizon Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Columbus Christian Crusaders will take on Horizon Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Columbus Christian came up short against Carroll County and fell 42-33. While the Crusaders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 13-5 in the first quarter.

The losing side was boosted by Olivia Wise, who posted 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. What's more, she also posted a 67% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, Horizon Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 33-22 to KIPP Legacy.

This is the second loss in a row for Columbus Christian and nudges their season record down to 13-9. As for Horizon Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Columbus Christian suffered a grim 47-26 defeat to Horizon Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Columbus Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
