Softball Recap: Stearns' Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Stearns fell victim to Penobscot Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 16-0 to the Howlers. The loss continues a trend for the Minutemen in their meetings with the Howlers: they've now lost six in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Stearns fell to 4-1. As for Penobscot Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Stearns is set to face off against their familiar foe Piscataquis at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Penobscot Valley will square off against rival Deer Isle-Stonington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
