Basketball Game Preview: River Ridge Knights vs. Sequoyah Chiefs

The River Ridge Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Sequoyah Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

River Ridge took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They escaped with a win against Sprayberry by the margin of a single free throw, 61-60.

Meanwhile, Sequoyah entered their tilt with Riverwood on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 win over the Raiders.

Sequoyah's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for River Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.

River Ridge was taken down by Sequoyah 90-55 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can River Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
