Soccer Recap: Eastern Wayne Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Eastern Wayne was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They lost 6-1 to the North Pitt Panthers. While losing is never fun, Eastern Wayne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 485th, while North Pitt are ranked 116th).

Eastern Wayne's goal came courtesy of Ezekiel Roberson, who's now up to 18 this season.

Eastern Wayne's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9-3. As for North Pitt, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-2-2.

Coincidentally, Eastern Wayne and North Pitt will both be playing Washington the next time they take the pitch. The Warriors will head out to face the Pam Pack at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will host them at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th.
