Baseball Recap: St. Frances Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Jemicy on Thursday, St. Frances Academy came back down to earth. The Panthers took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Park School Bruins on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Bruins: they've now lost seven in a row.

Julian Mercer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Jeremiah Hill was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.

St. Frances Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Park School, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
