Volleyball Recap: Damonte Ranch Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Damonte Ranch was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Douglas last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs came up short against the Bishop Manogue Miners on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-11.

Savannah Hawley-Nino paced Damonte Ranch's offense, picking up nine kills. Hawley-Nino got some help from Sofia Mladenovic and her 13 assists.

Leading Bishop Manogue to victory were Sofia Jaferian and Sofia Sterrett. Jaferian had eight digs and two assists, while Sterrett had seven digs and five aces. That's the most digs Sterrett has posted over her last three matchups.

Damonte Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Bishop Manogue, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

Coincidentally, Damonte Ranch and Bishop Manogue will both be playing Galena the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will host the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Miners will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
