Softball Game Preview: Grosse Pointe North Norsemen vs. Utica Ford Falcons

The Grosse Pointe North Norsemen will head out to take on the Utica Ford Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Utica Ford took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Grosse Pointe North, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Grosse Pointe North turned things around against L'Anse Creuse North on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 16-1 win. The Norsemen not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 24, 2024 (when they won 16-1).

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Utica Ford's offense. They came up short against Dakota on Monday, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered since April 8th.

Utica Ford's loss dropped their record down to 12-6-1. As for Grosse Pointe North, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.

Grosse Pointe North couldn't quite get it done against Utica Ford when the teams last played back in April as they fell 5-0. Can the Norsemen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
