Basketball Game Preview: Ridgewood Generals vs. Meadowbrook Colts

The Ridgewood Generals will take on the Meadowbrook Colts at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Ridgewood will be strutting in after a victory while Meadowbrook will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Ridgewood needed a bit of extra time to put away Tuscarawas Valley. They skirted past the Trojans 57-54. The win was some much needed relief for the Generals as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Meadowbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against New Lexington, falling 61-31. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 516th, while the Panthers are ranked 148th).

Ridgewood will have to contain Colton Delancey as he made an impact in Meadowbrook's last game. He went 6 for 12 en route to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justice Huey, who posted three points and six boards.

Meadowbrook's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Ridgewood, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.
