Liberty had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They took down the Houston Tigers 71-54. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Tigers are ranked 365th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Liberty now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Houston, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Liberty has already played their next game (against Viburnum), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Houston Tigers take on the Thayer Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Thayer has four straight victories, Houston has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
