Basketball Recap: Omaha Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Omaha Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 74-59 bruising from Nebraska Christian. If Omaha Christian Academy was looking for revenge after losing 52-35 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Oliver Herman was his usual excellent self, going 13-for-25 on his way to 35 points along with eight boards and three steals for Nebraska Christian. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which Herman has scored at least a third of Nebraska Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Swanson, who posted 13 points and five steals.

Omaha Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Nebraska Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-15.

Omaha Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-47 defeat against Weeping Water on the 24th. As for Nebraska Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-43 loss against Blue Hill on the 25th.
