Volleyball Recap: Hanover Central Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hanover Central walked away with it. They put the hurt on the River Forest Ingots with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won eight matches in a row.

Hanover Central found their leader in sophomore Liliana Chorba, who had eight digs and four aces.

Hanover Central was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Hanover Central's victory bumped their record up to 24-4. As for River Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 7-19.

Hanover Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Illiana Christian on the 18th. River Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
