Basketball Recap: San Diego Academy Snags Tenth Win in Last 11 Games

San Diego Academy lost to Health Sciences back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The San Diego Academy Cavaliers put the hurt on the Health Sciences Serpents with a sharp 44-22 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-9.

Rudy Nieto continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 15 points along with five assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Story Avitia, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 15 boards.

San Diego Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Health Sciences, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-6.

San Diego Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against School for Entrepreneurship & Technology at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in San Diego Academy's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while School for Entrepreneurship & Technology has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Health Sciences, they will welcome Cristo Rey on Friday.
