Softball Game Preview: Incarnate Word Shamrocks vs. TMI-Episcopal Panthers

The Incarnate Word Shamrocks will venture away from home to square off against the TMI-Episcopal Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Incarnate Word has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Incarnate Word's offense. They lost 15-0 to Antonian Prep on Friday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Shamrocks were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, TMI-Episcopal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Antonian Prep, falling 17-2.

Incarnate Word has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for TMI-Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Incarnate Word took their win against TMI-Episcopal when the teams last played last Tuesday by a conclusive 15-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Shamrocks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
