Soccer Game Preview: Boiling Springs vs. Shippensburg

The Boiling Springs Bubblers will head out to face off against the Shippensburg Greyhounds at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Boiling Springs will be strutting in after a victory while Shippensburg will be coming in after a defeat.

Boiling Springs is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They put the hurt on James Buchanan with a sharp 12-1 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for Boiling Springs in their matchups with James Buchanan: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Shippensburg was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They fell just short of West Perry by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Shippensburg came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 125th, while West Perry are ranked 311th).

Boiling Springs' win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Shippensburg, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.

Boiling Springs beat Shippensburg 4-2 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bubblers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
