Soccer Game Preview: Eastern Alamance vs. Currituck County

The Eastern Alamance Eagles will challenge the Currituck County Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Currituck County better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Eastern Alamance's game on Wednesday is any indication, that's when Eastern Alamance really gets things going. The Eagles never let Southeast Alamance get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Eastern Alamance haven't had any issues with Southeast Alamance recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Eastern Alamance hit Southeast Alamance with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jailyn Cunningham, Lilly Massey, and Charlie Huttle.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Currituck County had no problem doing just that on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Rockets. Given Currituck County's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Person are ranked 387th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eastern Alamance's win bumped their record up to 14-3-2. As for Currituck County, their victory bumped their record up to 16-4-1.
