Softball Recap: Tahoma Drops Highest Score of Season Against Mt. Rainier

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tahoma). They put the hurt on the Mt. Rainier Rams with a sharp 21-2 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won seven in a row.

Mia Hammington was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Malina Yelle was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tahoma kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Tahoma's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mt. Rainier, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.

As of now, neither Tahoma nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
