Softball Recap: Central Lee Comes Up Short

Central Lee was the 7-5 winner over Fort Madison when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Hawks took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bloodhounds on Saturday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Central Lee's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Fort Madison, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.

Central Lee will venture away from home to face off against West Burlington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Madison, they will welcome Fairfield at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
