Soccer Recap: Johnson Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Johnson was not quite Del Valle's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Del Valle Cardinals by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 389th, while the Cardinals are ranked 102nd).

Johnson's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Del Valle, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Johnson face off against the Dripping Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Del Valle has already played their next game (against Liberty Hill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
