Basketball Recap: San Juan Comes Up Short

San Juan played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Panguitch Bobcats 74-43. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-19.

San Juan lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tripp Palmer, who posted eight points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jake Ivins, who earned nine points and eight rebounds.

Panguitch's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daxton Miller led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Remme Chappell, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.

San Juan's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Panguitch, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

San Juan will host Emery at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Panguitch, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-46 victory against Wayne on the 18th.
