Basketball Recap: Liberty County Comes Up Short

Liberty County lost against Long County back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Liberty County Panthers fell 60-48 to the Long County Blue Tide. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zyi'Air Holt had a dynamite game for Long County, going 8 for 12 on his way to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Holt is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Christian Presley, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points and three steals.

Liberty County now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Long County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Liberty County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-35 victory against Southeast Bulloch on the 28th. As for Long County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-40 win against Groves on the 28th.
