Baseball Recap: Lavaca Comes Up Short

Lavaca and Booneville pushed the score to 15-5 the last time they played Booneville, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Golden Arrows fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 1-0. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Arrows in their meetings with the Bearcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Lavaca's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Booneville, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Lavaca will challenge Hackett at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Booneville, they will square off against Waldron at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bearcats are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
