Softball Preview: Saratoga Falcons vs. Lincoln Lions

Saratoga is headed into the game fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Monta Vista with a sharp 18-5 win on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Saratoga needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Saira Ramakrishnan made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Ramakrishnan has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts every time she's pitched this season. Ramakrishnan was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with six RBI.

Saratoga has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.
