Football Game Preview: New Kent vs. Poquoson

New Kent have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Poquoson at 7:00 PM. New Kent will be looking to avenge the 7-14 loss they took the last time these two teams played.

If New Kent were riding high off their 33-0 takedown of Colonial Heights three weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. It was close but no cigar for New Kent as they fell 18-20 to Tabb two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Poquoson were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. Everything went their way against Jamestown as the squad secured a 37-0 victory. The success made it back-to-back wins for Poquoson.

Poquoson's win lifted them to 2-0 while New Kent's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Poquoson can add another positive mark to their record or if New Kent can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Poquoson's step.
