Soccer Recap: Lonoke Comes Up Short

Lonoke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Monticello Billies. If Lonoke were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to Monticello when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lonoke's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Monticello, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season.

Lonoke will head out to square off against Magnolia at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Monticello has already played their next game (against Warren), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
