Softball Game Preview: Stebbins Indians vs. Edgewood Cougars

The Stebbins Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Edgewood Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stebbins has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 10.

On Tuesday, Stebbins didn't have quite enough to beat Tippecanoe and fell 9-8.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Edgewood took on Springfield on Thursday. The Cougars fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-4.

Madison Ferrell was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Coblie Burwick also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Stebbins' defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Edgewood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.
