Volleyball Recap: Edison Comes Up Short on the Road Against Norwalk

Edison had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Norwalk Truckers by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Edison took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 23-25, 25-27, 25-21, 15-9.

Macari Harris paced Edison's offense, picking up 19 kills. Harris were helped by Peyton Bissell and Paige McFadden, who contributed 22 assists each. Bissell also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Stella Brown, racking up two apiece.

The victory got Norwalk back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edison will take on Clyde at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Norwalk, they will face off against Huron at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
