Jamarcea Plater Tops All Others This Week

Starting off the list is Captain Shreve's Jamarcea Plater, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Plater's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 175 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Captain Shreve's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. Plater and Captain Shreve will look to defend their home field on Friday against Parkway at 7:00 p.m.

Ben Taylor's big game helped extend Airline's winning streak to seven on Friday. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

Taylor must have Haughton's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Taylor threw for 364 yards and five touchdowns while completing 88.5% of his passes the last time he and the Buccaneers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Damari Drake Puts an End to Evangel Christian Academy's Losing Streak on Friday

Thanks in part to Damari Drake, Evangel Christian Academy said goodbye to their four-game losing streak. Drake was unstoppable on Friday, making 16 total tackles (1.0 for loss). He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

On the season, Drake has averaged 12.6 total tackles per game.
