Antioch hadn't done well against Grant Community recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Sequoits blew past the Bulldogs 8-1. The Sequoits not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 9-0).

Ben Clausen tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Evan Schmidt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Zach Rubin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Antioch has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Grant Community, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-5.

Antioch will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
