Basketball Recap: Salem Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Nye Turner and Mitch Paspal

Salem suffered their biggest loss since January 17th on Monday. They came up short against the Lincoln Railsplitters, falling 70-47. The Rocks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-21.

Despite the defeat, Salem had strong showings from Mitch Paspal, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards, and Nye Turner, who posted 15 points and eight rebounds. What's more, Paspal also posted an 86% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January of 2024.

Salem's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Lincoln, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-9.

As of now, neither Salem nor Lincoln have any future games scheduled.
