Volleyball Game Preview: Chaparral Lobos vs. Valencia Jaguars + How To Watch

The Chaparral Lobos will face off against the Valencia Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Chaparral and Hatch Valley meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again last Tuesday. The Lobos came out on top against the Bears by a score of 3-1.

Chaparral was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-11, 21-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Valencia was able to grind out a solid victory over Grants on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won six in a row.

Valencia had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-14.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-11. As for Valencia, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Chaparral might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Valencia when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Lobos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
