Pleasant Valley came tearing into Saturday's matchup with ten straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Grundy Center by a score of 2-0.

Pleasant Valley's offense was headlined by Hanley Schmidt and Maren Ouellette, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Mazie Sweers and her 22 assists. Ouellette was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Pleasant Valley's victory bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Grundy Center, they moved to 26-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Pleasant Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Dowling Catholic on the 11th. As for Grundy Center, they will face off against Wapsie Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
