Recap: Cazenovia Lakers vs. Holland Patent Golden Knights
The Cazenovia Lakers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Holland Patent 44-14 at home. The result was nothing new for Cazenovia, who have now won four matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cazenovia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Robert Livingston, who threw for 108 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Jack Donlin, who gained 50 total yards and two touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why Holland Patent lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joe Latella. Despite the final result, he rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Latella was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards.
Cazenovia's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.8 points per game. As for Holland Patent, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Cazenovia will be playing in front of their home fans against Adirondack at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Adirondack is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. Holland Patent does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
