Softball Recap: Methacton's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Methacton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Pennridge Rams get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Warriors have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Methacton's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Pennridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Methacton will be playing at home against Perkiomen Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.9, the Vikings 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Pennridge, they will head out to face off against Central Bucks West at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
