St. Clair and Salem are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Clair came out on top against Owensville on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run seventh inning. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Dutchmen 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted against the Dutchmen since May 3, 2021.

Austin Dungey was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Clayton Ingram also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Salem took on Thayer on Monday. The Tigers walked away with a 6-1 win over the Bobcats. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won four in a row.

St. Clair's record is now 8-5. As for Salem, their record now sits at 5-6.

Everything went St. Clair's way against Salem in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as St. Clair made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
