Baseball Game Preview: Banning Broncos vs. Big Bear Bears

The Banning Broncos will take on the Big Bear Bears on Monday. Banning will be strutting in after a victory while Big Bear will be coming in after a loss.

Banning saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against Fontana by a score of 6-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.

Joe Clark was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 4-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Sebastian Osornio was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Banning was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Big Bear suffered their closest defeat since March 9, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Twentynine Palms by a score of 11-9.

Big Bear saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brennen Berge, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Banning now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Big Bear, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Banning has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .514. However, it's not like Big Bear struggles in that department as they've averaged .446. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
