Softball Recap: Clayton Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Clayton can now relate to. They fell just short of the Apex Friendship Patriots by a score of 6-4 on Friday.

Clayton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haleigh Mohamed, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Clayton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Apex Friendship, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Clayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Apex Friendship has already played their next contest (against D.H. Conley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
