Baseball Recap: Leavenworth Wins Going Away Against West

Leavenworth got themselves on the board against West on Tuesday, but West never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Chargers. The win continues a trend for the PIONEERS in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won six in a row.

Leavenworth got a massive performance out of Gabe Fryman, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Fryman has become a key player for the PIONEERS: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Rambo, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Leavenworth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Leavenworth picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 6-9. As for West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Leavenworth beat West by a score of 24-3 later that day.
