Volleyball Game Preview: Cocke County Fighting Cocks vs. Cherokee Chiefs

The Cocke County Fighting Cocks will head out to square off against the Cherokee Chiefs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Monday, Cocke County came up short against Pigeon Forge and fell 3-1. The Fighting Cocks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 22-25, 25-6, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Cherokee lost 3-0 to Volunteer on Thursday.

Cocke County's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Cherokee, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

Cocke County took their win against Cherokee in their previous meeting back in September of 2020 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Cocks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
