Basketball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central was the 50-46 winner over Beau Chene when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The North Central Hurricanes took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beau Chene Gators on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Gators are ranked 77th).

North Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Beau Chene, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

When North Central and Beau Chene next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. North Central will try to stop Brusly's three-game winning streak when the meet on December 30th. Similarly, Beau Chene will square off against Lake Charles College Prep and their five-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
