Port Allegany put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 32-26 W against the St. Marys Flying Dutch. Given the Gators' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Flying Dutch are ranked 377th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brennan Fillhart threw for 200 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. Nick Wilfong was his top target, picking up 143 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Aiden Bliss rushed for 139 yards and a pair of TDs.

When it comes to explaining why St. Marys lost, don't look at Brody Wehler. Despite the final result, he threw for 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven passes, and also rushed for 32 yards and one TD. Wehler's passing game has become a key predictor of the Flying Dutch's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Port Allegany's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for St. Marys, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
