Aquinas's tournament run continued when they took on Bishop O'Dowd on Wednesday. The Falcons blew past the Dragons 13-1. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Gavin Egan made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Carter Hadnot was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Chase Davidson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Aquinas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop O'Dowd only posted an OBP of .250.

Aquinas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop O'Dowd, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10-1.

Aquinas has already played their next contest, a 12-5 win against Brophy College Prep on the 17th. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Alameda at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th.
