Football Recap: Boerne-Champion Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Boerne-Champion extended their road winning streak to four games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Caleb Farias. The Chargers came out on top against the Seguin Matadors by a score of 57-50 on Friday thanks in part to Farias, who rushed for 167 yards and two scores while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 65 yards.

When it comes to explaining why Seguin lost, don't look at Corey Dailey. Despite the final result, he threw for 334 yards and three TDs while completing 81.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 54 yards and three touchdowns.

Boerne-Champion now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Seguin, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Boerne-Champion and Seguin will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Chargers see the field they'll take on New Braunfels at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Seguin, their break will end when they face Pieper at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
