Basketball Recap: Anna Reed's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Jefferson Christian Academy over State Line Homeschool R

Jefferson Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 48-41 to the State Line HomeSchool R Rush. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rush apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Jefferson Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Anna Reed, who posted 11 points along with five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Abby Reed, who scored nine points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks.

Even though they lost, Jefferson Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since the start of last season.

Aden Clark was her usual excellent self, going 8 for 20 on her way to 28 points and five boards for State Line HomeSchool R.

Jefferson Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for State Line HomeSchool R, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Jefferson Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 49-21 victory against North Cross on the 24th. As for State Line HomeSchool R, they will square off against Lynchburg HomeSchool at 4:00 p.m. on February 1st.
