Sierra Vista won the last time they faced Cimarron-Memorial and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mountain Lions came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 2-0.

Averie Gidge paced Sierra Vista's offense, picking up six kills. Gidge got some help from Lyla Sneek and her 15 assists. Sneek was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Sierra Vista has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Cimarron-Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Sierra Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Durango on the 30th. After both having extra time off, Cimarron-Memorial and Cheyenne will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on September 8.
