Volleyball Recap: Sandy Spring Friends Comes Up Short

Sandy Spring Friends was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Field Falcons. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Sandy Spring Friends actually scored more points across those five sets (99-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-14, 23-25, 25-23, 10-25, 15-12.

Sandy Spring Friends' loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sandy Spring Friends will take on Connelly School of the Holy Child at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Field, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spencerville Adventist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
