There's no place like home for Mesquite, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Marcos de Niza Padres on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Tuesday.

Mesquite had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-21.

Mesquite has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Marcos de Niza, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12.
