Soccer Recap: Gilbert Takes a Loss

If Gilbert was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Chester last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gilbert Indians came up short against the North Augusta Yellow Jackets on Monday, falling 7-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 6-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2017.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gilbert fell to 1-1. As for North Augusta, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Gilbert will square off against Crestwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Augusta, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Gray Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Augusta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.
