Softball Recap: Neches Tigers vs. Mt. Enterprise Wildcats

It was a proper cat-fight when Neches duked it out with Mt. Enterprise on Friday. The Neches Tigers came up short against the Mt. Enterprise Wildcats, falling 21-8. The loss leaves the Tigers still looking for their first win of the season.

Aubrey Kincade led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Vinnie Mayhall was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

Even though they lost, Neches was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Neches' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mt. Enterprise, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Coming up, Neches will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Wells at 4:00 p.m. As for Mt. Enterprise, they will venture away from home to square off against Douglass at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
