Basketball Recap: Idea Skates Past Richard Wright Public Charter School with Ease

Idea won the last time they faced Richard Wright Public Charter School and things went their way on Thursday too. The Idea Timberwolves took their game with ease, bagging a 70-20 win over the Richard Wright Public Charter School Spartans. That 50 point margin sets a new team best for the Timberwolves this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Idea to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chris Hinton, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 14 points and four steals. That's the most steals Hinton has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaidyn Lewis, who posted 11 points and six steals.

Despite the defeat, Richard Wright Public Charter School saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ashton Wall had eight points.

The victory made it two in a row for Idea and bumps their season record up to 3-2. As for Richard Wright Public Charter School, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Idea wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-57 win against Jefferson on the 13th. As for Richard Wright Public Charter School, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-15 defeat against Paul Public Charter International on the 13th.
