Football Game Preview: North Valley Knights vs. Lakeview Honkers + How To Watch

The North Valley Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Lakeview Honkers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Valley has three straight victories, Lakeview has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

North Valley had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 21-point drubbing they dealt Phoenix last Saturday. The Knights put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 42-21 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Hayden Taylor went supernova, rushing for 238 yards and four scores on only 15 carries. Taylor is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 104 every time he's taken the field this season. North Valley also got help from Max Freedman, who showed off his sure hands for 94 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: North Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 252 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

North Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Freedman and Taylor.

Meanwhile, Lakeview fell victim to Klamath Union and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Pelicans and fell 33-0.

North Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Lakeview, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for North Valley against Lakeview in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 51-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
